This story began with a blind date - thanks to Rylee's coworker Megan, who insisted the two needed to meet.

Megan told Nathan that they had a “similar life vibe.” As it turns out, she was definitely right and the two clicked instantly from the first meeting.

Over the next few months, they spent as much time together as they could - fueled by lots of coffee, running, hiking, waterfall adventures, and weekends exploring together. One of their favorite memories was a day at Rock Island, a waterfall that became meaningful throughout the relationship.

After two months, Nathan officially asked Rylee to be his girlfriend - though not before secretly tracking down her dad's business phone number on Google to ask for his permission first. Rylee had no idea.

The next 8 months were filled with adventures like half marathons and marathons, traveling between Ohio and Wyoming to visit family, hiking, plenty of coffees, picnics, and of course a bit of Chick-fil-a.

Then, after a wedding in Gatlinburg, Nathan suggested making a “spontaneous” stop at Rock Island on the drive home. (Little did Rylee know, he had already flown to Wyoming and back to ask her parent's blessing without her ever knowing). Their friends were already waiting at Rock Island to capture the moment - and at their favorite waterfall, Nathan asked Rylee to marry him.
